Grace Avare Ramsey, 91, a Morrison resident and Warren County native died March 3 in River Park Hospital following an extended illness.She was the daughter of the late W.O. and Eliza Williams Crawley, a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ.She was married March 5, 1941 to Horace E. Ramsey Jr., who preceded her in death Feb. 5, 2011. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter, Betty Sue Cartwright in 2008 and sisters, Willie Mae Martin and Eloise Wells.Mrs. Ramsey is survived by son, Larry Ramsey Sr., of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Marlene Cartwright of Decatur, Ala.; Michael Cartwright of McMinnville and Larry Ramsey Jr., of Smyrna, Ga.; five great-grandchildren, Zachery Cartwright and Ethan Cartwright of McMinnville, and Jack Ramsey, Madeline Ramsey and Anna Ramsey of Smyrna, Ga.; two sisters, Audrene Sissom of McMinnville and Alvena Davis of Virginia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.Funeral service was held Thursday in High’s Chapel with Ray Weddington officiating.
