Gertie Francis Youngblood, 95, died Tuesday, Feb. 7 at Woodbury Nursing Center following an extended illness.
A native of Cannon County, she lived in Woodbury and was a member for over 70 years at Centerhill Baptist Church. Ms. Youngblood was a retired factory worker, homemaker and basket maker.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Garland and Linda Youngblood of Woodbury; grandchildren, Ken (Fay) Youngblood of McMinnville, Avery (Nancy) Youngblood of Woodbury; great-grandchildren, Jeff and Steven Smith; Scott and Kevin Youngblood, and Lynesa Bell; and great-great-grandchildren, Rayton, Emeline, Aiden, Casen, Cade, Meredith, Madison and Nora.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Tillie Manus Thomas; husband, Elvert Youngblood; son, Leon Youngblood, daughter-in-law, Margie Youngblood and sister, Elsie Youngblood.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 11 a.m. today with Greg Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Centerhill Cemetery.
Woodbury Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
