George David Melton, 65, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born Jan. 20, 1953 and died May 8 at his residence following an extended illness. He was a veteran of the United States Army, retired brick mason and son of the late George Edward and Nana Lou Johnson Melton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Nancy Jean Cook Melton; sister Phyllis Muncey; and brother-in-law Donnie Muncey.
