Manchester resident and native Gary L. Parson, 53, died Sept. 26 at his home after an extended illness.Born on Dec. 16, 1957, he was the son of Barbara J. (Lightfoote) Parson and the late Dewey N. Parson. A member of Morrison United Methodist Church, he worked as a precision tool factory worker. In addition to his mother he is survived by sons, Paul A. Parson of Manchester and Travis L. Parson of Nashville; brothers, Tommy W. and James D. Parson, both of Morrison.Memorial services were held Tuesday at Morrison United Methodist Church with Rev. Glendia Dodson officiating.
