Frankie Winton, 106, of Morrison died Dec. 29 at NHC HealthCare Center in McMinnville.
She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a friend to many people and a member of Viola Church of Christ. She was born in Hillsboro to her parents, the late John Owen Bailey and Betty Layne Bailey. Mrs. Winton was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Winton and sons-in-law, James Robert Howell Sr., and Anthony Charles Heitzman Sr.
She is survived by her three daughters, Joan Winton Howell of Dalton, Ga., Joyce Winton Alverson (Dewey) of Gainesville, Ga., and Peggy Winton Heitzman of Lenoir City; grandchildren, James Robert Howell Jr. (Debbie), Tripp (Allison) and Tate; Chris Winton Howell (Karen), Madison and Matthew; Kelly McCormack (Thad), Ty, Matt, Carson and Drew; Dusty Alverson (Rena’), Chandler, Julia and Will; Margaret Whieldon (Jody), Joseph (Danielle) and Elizabeth; Anthony Charles Heitzman, Jr. (Melanie), Callie, Kaycee and Turner; Dantley Winton Heitzman (Corrine), Ryan, Hayden and Blake; and Olivia Ogle (Andy), Wyatt, Boone and Josie Wade; nephew, John W. Pendleton and family of Savoy, Ill.; cousin, H.C. and Marilyn Bonner of Inverness, Fla.
Funeral service was conducted Saturday at Central Funeral Home Chapel with Kevin Deason officiating. Burial followed at Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Viola.
Central Funeral Home of Manchester was in charge of arrangements.
