Mrs. Frances Marie Nuss Rogers, 85, of McMinnville passed from this life on Sunday, Sept. 19, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville from a sudden illness.

Frances was born Friday, March 27, 1936 in Cullman, Alabama, the daughter of the late Henry Nuss and the late Artensy Greene Nuss. She was a member of Covenant Fellowship Church in McMinnville. She worked in the nursery where she had greenhouses.

Surviving are sisters, Thelma Lee Driver and husband Jimmy of McMinnville, and Evelyn Carter and husband J.C. of Nashville, one brother Kenneth Nuss and wife Joyce of Quebec, one daughter, Heidi Vining of McMinnville, several family members and grandchildren and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by husband Norman Hickman, and one son Norman Hickman Jr.,

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Northcutt officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Smartt with Bro. Dean Northcutt officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the time of the service.
