Beersheba Springs resident and Grundy County native Fannie Idella Pease, 73, was born Feb. 18, 1940 and died Aug. 26 following an extended illness.A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas and Myrtle Sanders Meeks. She was married to Claudie Lee Pease, who preceded her in death March 26, 2010. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ida Moore, Mae Barnett and Marie Madewell; and three brothers, Willie Raymond Meeks, Orville Meeks and Claudie Meeks.She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Veronica and Johnny Ledbetter of Rock Island; four grandchildren and their spouses, Deann Owen of McMinnville, D.J. and Michelle Gurley of Smithville, Johnny and Wendy Ledbetter of McMinnville and Sean and Jasmine Ledbetter of Rock Island; four great-grandchildren, Tia and Kamia Owen, Jaylen Ledbetter and Camerie Ledbetter; one sister, Jeweldean Rigsby of Chattanooga; two half-brothers, James King of Smithville, and Tommy Meeks of Gruetli-Laager; nine stepchildren and several step-grandchildren; special cousin, Lois Kilgore; and several nieces and nephews.A graveside service and interment will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hunerwadel Cemetery in Grundy County with Ricky Hawkins officiating.
