Emma Ruth Goff, 86, of McMinnville (Blues Hill community) died Wednesday, May 1, at her residence. She was born Jan. 21, 1927, in Bledsoe County and was a retired employee of Clover Bottom Mental Health Facility, a homemaker, and a member of Blues Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Goff was preceded in death by parents Howard Roscoe and Lela Frances Cerley Sampson, husband Philip Goff, grandson Norman Mitchell Goff, and brother Floyd Cornell Sampson.Survivors include her daughter, Doris Ann Sweeney; sisters, Eulah V. Hall, Martha Jo Dunbar, and Linda Lou Conley; and brother, Arthur Howard Sampson.
