Elnora Mai “Tootie” Bennett, 89, a McMinnville resident and Jackson County native, was born Feb. 17, 1928 and died July 29 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following a brief illness. Mrs. Bennett was a retired employee of Century Electric, member of the Church of Christ and daughter of the late Joel Ernest and Anna Lee Stafford Polson. She was married April 28, 1946 to Finis Auburn Bennett, who preceded her in death on July 29, 2000.
