Eleanore Celine Swoape, 86, a Warren County resident and Elmhurst, Ill., native was born March 3, 1932 and passed away Feb. 21 at her residence following a sudden illness.

She was a homemaker, member of the Catholic Church and daughter of the late August and Marie Yandick Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Warren Thomas Swoape; son Buck Swoape; grandson T.J. Reed; and siblings Betty Port, Gladys DiMaggie, Ray Anderson, Gussie Anderson and Don Yandick.

Mrs. Swoape is survived by children and spouses, Pam and Carl Cantrell of McMinnville, and Mark and Kim Swoape of Rock Island; seven grandchildren, Heather Mullins, Jennifer Conrad, Tyler Swoape, Jett Swoape, Riley Swoape, Hannah Swoape and Emily Swoape; sisters Darlene Kleckner of McMinnville and Carol Stewart of Illinois; brother Bob Anderson of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, with Father Bob Weiss to officiate. Interment will follow at Bluff Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. Sunday until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
