Edna Elizabeth Stubblefield, 85, died Thursday, Nov. 23, following an extended illness at a long-term care facility in Masury, Ohio. She was buried in a private graveside service at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville.A Warren County native, she was born June 4, 1932 to Hiram Bertram and Opal Lee Boyd Stubblefield, who, with her stepmother, Mary Edith Crouch Stubblefield, her brother, Bobby Stubblefield and her nephew, Danny Stubblefield, preceded her in death.The 1952 McMinnville Central High School graduate was crowned Warren County’s Sorghum Festival Queen in 1954 and went on to pursue a career in modeling in Kansas City and New York City for much of her adult life.She is survived by her stepbrother, Charles (Helen Dorris) Craven of Huntsville, Ala.; her niece, Melinda Stubblefield (Jerry) Hughey of Pulaski; two nephews, Jonathan Boyd (Tonya) Stubblefield of Smithville; Jeff Stubblefield of McMinnville, as well as a host of cousins, great and great-great nieces and nephews.High’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
