Dr. J.C. Gaw, M.D., 88McMinnville resident and Long Beach, Calif., native Dr. J.C. Gaw, M.D., 88, died May 30 at his home after an extended illness.A family practitioner and surgeon and a long-time elder at Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Cleves C. and Pearl Wisdom Gaw. He was also preceded in death by wife, Helen Jewel Wales Gaw.He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Michael Krauth of Murfreesboro, Barbara and Norman Sain of McMinnville, and Marilyn Gail Gaw of Knoxville; son and daughter-in-law, John and Ruth Gaw of Knoxville; grandchildren, Chris Krauth, Trisha Harris, Ashli Komstek, Zac Sain and Hunter Sain; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Sara Lynn of Gainesboro and Betty Wisdom of Barberton, Ohio; and brothers, Doyle, David and Billy Gaw, all of Nashville.Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at High’s Chapel with Ben Bailey and Nestor Stewart officiating.
