Dr. Hugh Curtis Erwin, 91, of Glasgow died Wednesday, April 2, in Glasgow, Ky. Dr. Erwin was born in Chattanooga on March 10, 1923 to the late Thomas and Edna Erwin. Also predeceased are his sons John and Ray Erwin, brother Thomas A. Erwin Jr., and sister Myrtie Mae Erwin McNeil.Dr. Erwin served three years in the United States Army Signal Corp in World War II. Following his military service, he graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., and received an honorary doctorate of theology from Bethel Baptist College in Hopkinsville, Ky.
