McMinnville resident and Huntsville, Ala., native, Dorothy Lucille Powell, 83, was born Oct. 10, 1928 and died Feb. 22 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired employee with Stewart Pharmacy, JCPenney and McMinnville Garment Company, and a member of Bybee Branch Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Henry Clessie and Bertie Mae Sanders Mullican. She was married April 4, 1951 to Frank W. Powell, who preceded her in death.
