Doris Rae Deaton Dryden, 67, of Murfreesboro died Sunday, Sept. 29. 

She was a native of Warren County and was preceded in death by her husband, John Michael Dryden and father H.G. Deaton. Mrs. Dryden attended World Outreach and Belle Aire Baptist Church. She had worked as a dental assistant with Dr. Richard Williams from 1973-2015. She enjoyed going to movies, history, Disney and Christmas. 

Mrs. Dryden is survived by her sons, Matt Dryden and wife Tammy of Smyrna, Jason Dryden and wife Nicole of Murfreesboro; mother Janiette Deaton of Smyrna; grandchildren, Dixie, David, Daniel, Liam, Eli; brother Allen Deaton of Rock Island, and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to help with funeral expenses at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Visitation is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Dr. Dean Sisk will officiate. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery,
