Don Redmon, 77, of Smithville died Saturday morning, June 25 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. 
He was born May 6, 1939 to his parents, the late Lemmie Haskel and Mary Elizabeth Cantrell Redmon.
Mr. Redmon was a retired teacher, a U.S. Navy veteran, and a member of Mt. View the Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Haston Adcock, J.P. “Doc” Redmon; two sisters, Zella Hricik, Callie Neal; special sister-in-law, Lou Redmon. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and special friends.
Funeral service was held Monday at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Dennis Wood officiating and burial following at Whorton Springs Cemetery. In addition to flowers, the family asks donations be made to Whorton Springs Cemetery Fund in memory of Mr. Redmon.
