David Richmon Farless, 69, a Pikeville resident and Detroit, Mich., native was born April 25, 1945 and died May 22 at his daughter’s residence following an extended illness. He was the pastor of Smith Chapel Independent Baptist Church in Bledsoe County and former missionary to Old Mexico and had served in the National Guard. He was the son of the late Phillip and Eula Mai Wilson Farless and was married to Mary J. Eldridge Farless, who preceded him in death July 21, 1996.
