Danny Gene Gilder, 62, formerly of Greenville, Ms., died Wednesday after an extended illness. 
He was employed by Kidd Ford of Morrison and was voted No. 1 car salesperson for 2011 and 2012.  He was a member of Gath Baptist Church.
Mr. Gilder was born in Vardaman, Ms., and moved to Greenville, Ms., at an early age. He graduated from Greenville High School and worked as an insurance agent in the Mississippi Delta for over 30 years. 
He is survived by his wife Lynn, former city clerk of Greenville; two sons, Jeremy (Andrea) Gilder of Knoxville; Christopher (Lisa) Gilder of Murfreesboro; brothers Rev. Charles (Marsha) Gilder of Morgan City, La., Rev. Ray (Diane) Gilder of McMinnville, Tom (Charliene) Gilder of Paron, Ark.; one sister Ethel Bean of Brandon, Ms.; six grandchildren: Makayla, Christina, Joshua, Noah, Brady and Sarah plus numerous nieces and nephews.
 Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at McMinnville Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. with interment at Garden Of Memories. Mr. Gilder’s brothers Ray, Charles and Tom will officiate.
McMinnville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
