Mr. Corey Lynn Slatton, 21, of McMinnville died Friday, Aug. 9, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
He was born July 28, 1992, in McMinnville, was the manager at Tobacco Outlet, and was preceded in death by maternal grandfather Fred Yates Jr., maternal great-grandmother Pauline Yates, and paternal great-grandparents Herman and Opal Basham.
Survivors include his mother Kim Yates Slatton, father Mike Slatton, sister Tiffany Slatton, half-sister Alicia Slatton, paternal grandmother Billie Jean Fults, maternal great-grandfather Fred Yates Sr., aunts Lisa (Chris) Gilder, and Teresa Haston, uncles Kevin Fults and Eddie Fults, good friends Jonny Teike, and Beth and John Teike. Many other aunts, uncles, cousins, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. David G. Snowden will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. The Slatton family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 to 9 p.m. and again Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
