McMinnville resident and Warren County native Connie Savage Wood, 52, was born Oct. 8, 1962 and died Dec. 13 at her residence following an extended illness.
An employee of Cumberland Swan and a member of Northside Church of Christ in Smithville and was the daughter of Fred Donald and Eva Lucille Brown Savage of McMinnville.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Nathaniel and Gladys Terry; paternal grandparents, Hillis and Belle Savage; brother, Tony Costello Brown; and two aunts.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Shay and Alan Perkins of Morrison; two grandchildren, Jayren and Kyra Perkins; sister, Sondra Savage of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; two stepsisters, Patricia Groom of McMinnville and Sabrina Oglesby of Lithonia, Ga.; two brothers and sister-in-law, David Savage of McMinnville and Glen and Monica Savage of McMinnville; nephew, Travis Brown Grayson of McMinnville; several more nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and special friends, Steve, Connie, Jerry, Eva, Hardena, Betty Jo and others.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in High's Chapel with Burness Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be from noon until 8 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Sunday at High's.
