Clifford L. McCormick, 92, a Coalmont resident and White County native, died Oct. 17 in Cumberland House Hospice in Crossville following a brief illness.
He was a retired employee of the U.S. Corps of Engineers, a member of Morrison Church of Christ, and son of the late Bransford and Mary Elizabeth Holder McCormick.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wives, Evelyn Kilgore McCormick and Mary Alice Causey McCormick; son, Nelson McCormick; two sisters, Johnnie Elliott and Adalene Cole and three brothers, James, Leon and Clyde McCormick.
Mr. McCormick is survived by two sons, James McCormick of Brentwood and Michael (Ginger) McCormick of Crossville; two daughters, Elizabeth Reed of Spring City and Debbie Rice of Dover; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Hall of Whitwell and Doris Winton of Coalmont; and one brother, Henry McCormick of Summitville.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday in High’s Chapel with Ray Winton to officiate. Interment will follow at Jericho Cemetery in White County. Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and Monday at 11 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
