Viola resident and Upshur County, Tex. native Clara Mozelle Terry, 83, was born Dec. 4, 1939 and died June 29, 2023 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness.           

A retired teller with First National Bank and member of Covenant Fellowship Church, she was the daughter of the late Archie Houston and Clara Virginia Price White. She was married to Peyton Terry on May 28, 1966 who preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 2022. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by twelve siblings. 

Mrs. Terry is survived by son, Clinton David Terry of Viola and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 3 in High’s Chapel with Dr. Dean Northcutt officiating. Burial will follow at Viola Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
