McMinnville resident and Warren County native Claiburne Webster Hutchins, 88, was born May 13, 1923 and died June 15 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following a short illness.A retired partner and mechanic at Hutchins Auto Sales, a United States Navy veteran of World War II, and member of Northside Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Peay and Sallie Fisher Hutchins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wives, Louise T. Lanoo Hutchins and Mildred Lieske Hutchins; three brothers, Virgil, Orville and Orbin Hutchins; and six sisters, Emma Parsley, Ella Byars, Beulah France, Vena Lou Hayes, Verna Jones and Ola Bounds.He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Cliff Davidson of McMinnville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Jereal Hutchins, and Mike and Peggy McMurray, all of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Terri Cook, Drew Davidson, Jack Davidson and Chad Hodge; four great-grandchildren, Alex Gross, Gracie Cook, Elliott Hodge and Henna Elizabeth Hodge, and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in High’s Chapel with John May officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
