Ms. Cindy Hatton Walker Taylor, 94, of McMinnville died Saturday, Jan. 22, at Legacy Health & Rehab in Manchester.


She was born Oct. 25, 1927, in Smithville and was a member of Smartt First Baptist Church. For 37 years, Ms. Taylor was employed by the Warren County School System as both a cafeteria worker and teacher’s aide at West Elementary School and Morrison Elementary School. She was preceded in death by parents Claude and Cumilla Fuson Walker Sr., daughter Cindy Kaye Taylor, sisters Ruby Love, Pauline Allen, and Ruthie Walker, and brothers Samuel Walker, Claude Walker, Jr., Jack Walker, Sterling Hix Walker, Robert Walker, and Vernal Walker.


Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Linda and David Bain, grandchildren Andrea Bain Hillis (Christopher Fate) and Taylor Bain (Morgan Thaxton). Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends surviving.


Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, at Smartt First Baptist Church. Bro. Johnny Newby officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Smartt First Baptist Church, 4907 Manchester Hwy., Smartt, TN 37378. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
