Chattom Allen “Big Al” Wood, 67, of Fairfield Glade (formerly of the Oak Grove community) died Friday, Aug. 5.He was a U.S. Army veteran and was preceded in death by parents Chattom and Loretta Wood and his first wife Jewell Wood.Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Grogan Wood of Fairfield Glade; son Todd (Rhonda) Wood of McMinnville; daughter, Candy (Eddie) Ware of Arizona, and stepdaughter, Stephanie Akins; a sister, Georgia Francisco Peden of McMinnville; and grandchildren Houston and Jack Wood, and Dakota and Caleb Ware.Funeral service was held Wednesday at Oak Grove Church of Christ. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery at Green Hill with military grave rites administered by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064.
