Charlotte Christine Clemons, 80, a McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native, was born April 11, 1936 and died Jan. 1 at her residence following an extended illness.She was a homemaker, member of Victory Freewill Baptist Church and daughter of the late Christopher C. and Eugena Cleo Luna Young. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Lonnie Clemons; and brothers, John Young, Lindbergh Young and Leonard Young. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and John Madewell of McMinnville; two step-children, Sherry Todd and Stevie Clemons, both of McMinnville; two grandchildren Misty Greene and husband Jerry and Shannon Madewell, all of McMinnville; four step-grandchildren, Shawn Clemons, Greg Todd, Skyler Clemons and Gabriel Clemons; niece, Linda Richardson of Rock Island; six great-grandchildren, Bailey Moore, Tristan Adcock, Aidan Greene, Hannah Greene, Cabe Greene and Ethan Greene, all of McMinnville; two sisters, Faye Cantrell of Smithville and Minnie Medley of McMinnville; brother, Earl Young of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 3 with Bro.
