Charles Loyd Boles, 85

McMinnville resident and Washburn, MO native Charles Loyd Boles, 85, was born Feb. 19, 1935 and died Jan. 5 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a brief illness.       
A retired design engineer with Powermatic in McMinnville and Federal Mogul in Smithville and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Loren E. “Red” and Ferry Dalton Boles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson Michael Boles. 
He was married to Patricia Ann Shirk Boles of McMinnville on Nov. 24, 1952. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and spouses, Denny and Nancy Boles of Jasper, Becky and Ron Lee of McMinnville, Terry and Cindy Boles of McMinnville, and Marty and Sharon Boles of McMinnville, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, brother Norman Boles of Missouri, and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service was held with the family at Friendship Cemetery in Warren County with Dan Gulley officiating. No service or visitation was held at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
