Mr. Charles Herbert “Shorty” Ward, 77, of Walling, died Saturday, July 29 at NHC of Sparta. Shorty was born May 22, 1940 in White County to the late Noah Lee and Augusta May Jordan Ward. He was a boiler guard at Cumberland Lumber in McMinnville and received multiple awards for his 30 years of perfect attendance.
