McMinnville resident and Warren County native Charles Earl King, 83, was born June 25, 1930 and died June 28 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville following a brief illness.A nursery worker and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Aire Belle Muncey. He was married to Leeona Russell King who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and mother, he was preceded in death by brother, Dillard "Buck" Muncey; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Forest Muncey; two granddaughters, Julie Herman and Tara King; and one great-granddaughter.He is survived by four children and their spouses, Caroline and Jerry Lyle, Debbie and Kenny Wolfe and Phillip and Movita King all of McMinnville, and Judy and James Luna of Smithville; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; and one niece and one nephew.Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 2 in High's Chapel with Danny Sullivan officiating.
