Carl B. Brown, 78, of Hillsboro died Sunday, Feb. 17 at his daughter’s home with his family by his side.He was a member of The Church of Christ in Pelham. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet King Brown, brothers Hershel and Paul Brown, and was a son of the late Ulysses Grant Brown and Miriam Lautzenheiser Brown.Survivors include his children, Alan (Connie) Brown of Scottsboro, Ala., and Joyce Brown of Sewanee; grandchildren Denise (Danny) Foshee, Jody (Chandler) Green, and Greg (Misty) Dolberry; great-grandchildren Gauge, Blair, Blake, Brooke, and Dreke; brother Grant Brown of Pelham; sisters Flona Lee Burnett of Pelham, Faye Woodall of Winchester, and Lotus Douglas of Tullahoma; numerous nieces, nephews, and friendsServices were held Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Charlie Brown officiating. Burial followed at Summerfield Cemetery.
