Buford Wayne Campbell, 81

Buford Wayne Campbell, 81, passed away Monday, Feb. 21, at St. Thomas Rutherford. A native of Cannon County, he was the son of the late Landon and Beulah Phillips Campbell.  

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sarah Joyce Hendrickson Campbell of Woodbury, children Janey (Randy) Cox of Eagleville, Anthony (Crystal) Campbell of McMinnville and Dian (Richie) Barabas of Woodbury, siblings Nora Mai Keaton and Lynwood (Linda) Campbell, all of Woodbury, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jesse, J.T., and Johnny Campbell, Mazel Gannon and Ora Lee Gunter.

A member of the Methodist Church, Mr. Campbell was a retired truck driver where he worked in construction.  He enjoyed collecting guns and watching Western movies.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at Sycamore Cemetery with his son, Bro. Anthony Campbell, officiating. Pallbearers include Richie Barabas, Randy Cox, Cody Crawford Michael Hendrickson, Charley Gunter and Luke Campbell. Visitation was Tuesday at Woodbury Funeral Home, 615-563-2311.
