Rock Island resident and Warren County native Buford Lee Hitchcock, 86, was born Sept. 22, 1929 and died Jan. 30 at his residence following an extended illness. A self-employed dairy farmer and a member of the Church of God, he was the son of the late Horace Edward and Sophia Electa George Hitchcock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jessie Lois Taylor Hitchcock; six brothers, Olney, Euclid, Carson, Houston, Carl and Kenny Hitchcock; and sister Winona Sellars.
