Bruce Barton Terry, 65, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, died March 29 at his residence following a sudden illness.
He was a self-employed farmer, a Tennessee Army National Guard veteran, member of the Church of Christ, and son of the late James Spivey and Maxine Ora Peterman Terry.
Mr. Terry is survived by daughters and son-in-law Meghann and Zach Kirk of Memphis and Lindsey Terry of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Trevor and Max Trusty and Elizabeth Kirby; brother, Vinkey Terry of McMinnville; and uncle, Peyton Terry and wife Mozelle of Viola. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Graveside service and interment will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Viola Cemetery with Doug Bost to officiate. Military grave rites will be conducted by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at High’s.
