Bonnie Ree Goodman Sliger, 95

McMinnville resident and Missouri native Bonnie Ree Goodman Sliger, 95, was born June 27, 1924 and died July 18 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital following a brief illness.

A retired employee of Rockford Textiles and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late George Thomas and Mary Ann Goodman. She was married to Raymond Harding Sliger, who preceded her in death Feb. 9, 2012.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Nell Reed, Dorothy McGregor, Charlene Hollingsworth and Maude Goodman, brothers Willie Thomas Goodman and John Walker Goodman, nephews Bruce Turner, Larry Goodman and wife Elaine, and Don Jones; and nieces Pam Hollingsworth and Kathy Goodman.

Mrs. Sliger is survived by several nieces and nephews, Michael and Derita Reed, Jerry and Martha McGregor, Steve and Linda McGregor, Phillip Hollingsworth, Chuck and Chanda Hollingsworth, Jonathan and Michelle Goodman, Joe Goodman, Terry Peery, and Dwight and Judy Goodman, numerous great-nieces and great-nephews and special friend Charlotte Weddington.

A graveside service and interment will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, July 20 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Ray Weddington officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
