Bobbie Earl Dixon, 75, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Tennova Healthcare.

Bobbie was born Sept. 8, 1943, in McMinnville to Homer Earl Dixon and Edna Clemmons Dixon.

Mr. Dixon was a retired police officer with Clarksville Police Department. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran. Bobbie served in Vietnam and obtained a Purple Heart.

A celebration of life service was held Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Clarksville International Church, with pastor Greg Plummer and elder Ryan Crosslin officiating. Burial followed at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, where full military honors were rendered.

Bobbie is survived by his wife, Shirley Dixon; two sons Robert Dixon and Jesse Dixon; sister Nadine Madewell; and several other family members.
