Retired Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation general manager and now president of the Board of Directors, Mr. Bob Woodard, died Saturday morning Dec. 7 at the age of 77 after suffering a fall at his Stonewall Highway home in the Elmwood community. One of four children of the late Harrison Haskel Woodard and Florence Etta Massey Woodard, he was born Robert Doyle Woodard in the Corinth Community in Brooks Bend in Jackson County on Sept. 1, 1936.He was a 1955 graduate of Jackson County High School and received his bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee in June of 1977. On Sept. 30, 1978 he was united in marriage to McMinnville native Wanda Carol Fitts.
