Billy Joe Slatton, 73, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born Jan. 13, 1941 and died June 11 at home following a brief illness.The retired owner of Bill’s Automotive, he was a member of Hebron Church of Christ. The son of the late Dewey and Willie Sanders Slatton, he was also preceded in death by daughter René Brown, brothers Grey Slatton and Jack Slatton, and sister Ruth Veach. He was married July 3, 1963 to Joy Barnes Slatton.
