McMinnville resident and Warren County native Billy Joe Hudson, 72, was born July 29, 1940 and lost his battle with cancer Dec. 21.The retired owner and operator of Smartt’s Grocery and member of Mt. Leo Church of Christ, he was the son of the late James Franklin and Audrey Bouldin Hudson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Larry Hudson, and two sisters, Geneva Brimer and Willie Ann Summers.He was married Sept. 15, 1961 to Linda Smartt Hudson of McMinnville.
