Betty Yager Lively, 89

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Betty Yager Lively, 89, was born May 18, 1923 and died unexpectedly Jan. 25 at NHC Healthcare.A retired teacher at West Elementary School and member of First Presbyterian Church, she was the daughter of the late Edward N. Yager Jr., and the late Frankie Hobson Yager Grizzle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, William Spencer Lively IV; brother-in-law A.J. “Jack” Ingle, and sister-in-law Jo Russell Yager.Mrs. Lively was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution for 50 years where she was chaplain for 22 years, member of the Retired Teachers Association and was a Sunday School teacher.She would have been married 70 years on Feb. 27, 2013 to W.S. “Bill” Lively Jr.. of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, W.S. “Buddy” Lively III of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Jane Ingle of McMinnville and Mary Yager of Nashville; brother Edward N. Yager III of McMinnville; niece, Sally Turner of McMinnville; nephew Edward N. (Cheryl) Yager IV of Nashville; several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery at a date to be determined with Harry Green and James Dillon officiating.
