Betty Sue Molloy Moore, 91, a Cookeville resident and McMinnville native, died Nov. 21 surrounded by her family.

She was born May 20, 1930 and was a member of Westwood Church of Christ and Collegeside Church of Christ. She was the daughter of the late Hillard and Dora Molloy. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years L. Ray Moore, and great-grandson Sedryc Simmons.

She is survived by her sons Steve (Mary) Moore, Mike Moore, and daughter Terrie Mullican, grandchildren Melisa Webster, Steve Moore Jr.  (Marilyn), Mike Moore Jr. (Amanda), Ben Moore, Jennifer Boyd (Justin), Lori Moore, Brent Moore (Angelica), and Bryan Moore (Shawna), and several great-grandchildren also survive.

Nanny loved her family fiercely. Her family was second only to her Lord Jesus Christ. She read her Bible daily and was a strong Christian woman. She led her family by example and leaves a legacy of love, loyalty, and cherished family recipes.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville with Jimmy Priestly officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 to 11:45 a.m. at High’s. Online condolences may be left at
