Mrs. Betty Jean Hoover, 89, of Morrison died Wednesday, Jan. 26, at her residence.
She was born April 18, 1932, in Mohawk, TN, was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and had in recent years attended Smartt Station First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a substitute teacher in Warren County and most importantly a pastor’s wife whose life centered around her kids and church. Mrs. Hoover was preceded in death by parents Moody Lee and Mamie Gertrude Burgin Ashley, husband Ralph Edward Hoover, Sr., sister Carol Fletcher, and son Keith Ashley Hoover.
Survivors include her children Ralph E. (Carol) Hoover Jr., Bob (Madeline) Hoover, Ron (Donna) Hoover, and Pam Adcock (Tim Woodlee), sisters Marie (Doyle) Gillespie and Margaret Hellrung, brothers John (Sue) Ashley and Bob (Ann) Ashley, grandchildren Marji Vesper, Ashley Hoover, Steve Hoover, Mike (Alisa) Hoover, Melissa (Jay) Bracewell, Danny Hoover (Monica Milstead), Erin Hoover (David Sykes), Travis (Randi) Hoover, Grant Hoover, Noah Hoover, Dustin Adcock, Amy Margaret (Daniel) McGee, Bryan Adcock, Keith Hoover (Rhonda Chastain), and Chris (Tammy) Hoover, and great grandchildren Meadow McGee, Sage McGee, Oaklie McGee, Kayce Bracewell, Isabella Vesper, Henry Vesper, Chevis Hoover, Cayden Hoover, Haley Hoover, Ali Hoover, Lindsey Hoover, Jody Hoover McPeake, Ella Hoover, Amelia Hoover, and Evie Mullican.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel with Jackie Matheny officiating. Interment will follow at Morrison Cemetery.
