Mr. Ben F. Young Jr., 66, of Sparta died Sunday, Dec. 21, at River Park Hospital.
He was born April 26, 1948 in White County to the late Ben F. Young Sr., and Pearl Lee Young. He was a retired brick mason and furniture store owner. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by brothers Erbie Young and Charles Young.
Survivors include his three daughters Krystal Young of Sparta, Shelia Armstrong and husband David of Sparta, Janie Pierce and husband Kenneth of Mt. Sherman, Ky., grandchildren Cole Young, Sarah Young, Jordan Armstrong, Aaron Armstrong, Maddie Pierce; sisters Sherry Young, Wilma Miller and Darlene Young, all of Sparta; special friend Helen Poston; mother of his children Mary Louise Young; several nieces and nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial following at Young Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hunter Funeral Home. Danny Rogers and Kerry Young will officiate.
