Aubrey Lee Turner, 76, a Warren County resident and native, was born Oct. 5, 1942 and passed away Jan. 9 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness.

He was a self-employed businessman, attended First Baptist Church and was son of the late Lee Ramsey and Louise Ware Turner.

Mr. Turner was married Oct. 2, 1959 to Joann Ward Turner, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, David Lee and Lisa Turner of Morrison, and Charles Wayne and Donna Turner of McMinnville; grandchildren, Chanda Lynn Hillis, Christy Lea Wilmore, Kyle Lee Turner, Charles Tyler Turner, Aubrey Matthew Turner, Ericka Nicolle Turner, Emily Louise Turner, Micah Welch, Keaton Welch, Nikki Barnes and Logan Hartman; great-grandchildren, Hunter Hillis, Dalton Hillis. Savannah Scott, Chase Gannon, River Turner and Levi Turner; great-great-grandson, Easton Beedle; sisters and brothers-in-law Carolyn and Austin Poss of Lynchburg, and Teresa and Brad Crabtree of Ohio; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Sandra Turner of McMinnville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at High’s Chapel with Jeff Owens and Rick Stewart to officiate. Interment will follow at Gath Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, 12 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. Sunday until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
