McMinnville resident and Pennington, Va., native Arthur Pete Waddell, 82, was born Feb. 18, 1933 and died Sept. 23 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness.Retired from Sav-A-Lot and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Emmett and Ollie Russell Waddell. He was married to Geraldine Johnson Waddell, who preceded him in death June 10, 2013.He is survived by stepdaughter Lynnette Curtis of McMinnville; two step-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Kiley Curtis, both of McMinnville; and sister Vivian Ferrell of Murfreesboro.Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in High’s Chapel with Tony Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Webb Cemetery.
