Amos Vaughn, 78, a McMinnville resident and Rienzi, Miss., native was born June 6, 1938 and died March 26 at his residence following an extended illness.
He was a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard, a truck driver for Crete Transportation, a loyal member of Rolling Acres Brethren in Christ Church for 26 years, and the son of the late Hubert & Miriam Ester Searcy Vaughn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Vaughn.
He was married Dec. 15, 1960 to Ernestine Vaughn of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Sherry Vaughn of Nashville; son Allen Vaughn of McMinnville; grandson Billy Vaughn of McMinnville; grandchildren Kalina and Christian Vaughn and brother Gerald Vaughn of Rienzi, Miss.
Funeral service was Monday, March 27, at High’s Chapel with Jeff McKennon officiating. Interment will followed at Mt. View Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
