Aledda “Jan” Bottoms, 73, of McMinnville passed from this life on May 8 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

Jan was born on August 21, 1947, in Nashville. She was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Selma Miller. She was married to the late Donnie Bottoms and also preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberley Dawn Meche.

Jan is survived by her son Marty Bottoms, grandchildren Megan Henry (Jesse), Morgan Meche (Anthony), Carson and Makenzie Bottoms, and great-grandchildren Jayton, Zaylon, Kylon, and Hazel Strange. She is also survived by her sister Ann Taylor (Danice), brother Johnnie Miller, and nieces Amy Crouch (Chad), Allison Stiles (Brandon), April Taylor and several other nieces/ nephews, Julie Bottoms Jackson, cousins, in-laws, and other family.

Jan was a member of the church of Christ.

Due to Jan’s request and COVID-19, there will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
