The Young Scholars Institute is enjoying its third decade of providing summer enrichment opportunities for youngsters in second through ninth grades. This year’s theme was “Critters,” with students discovering the wonders of Mother Nature and exploring creatures both real and imaginary from today and yesteryear. The institute runs for two weeks, with different activities and field trips planned for the almost 600 children attending.
