Fishing can be a wonderful pastime, one that can transport the fisherman back in time, and also make memories to relive over and over. Early one June morning friends Alene Davis, 96, and Gladys Morgan, 92, gathered at a pond on Ivy Bluff Road to revive some of their memories. Morgan attends church with Jimmy and Paula Barnes at Ivy Bluff Church of Christ, and had mentioned to Jimmy she would like to go fishing sometime.
