Senior Center provides oasis

Nestled in the hills of a lushly vegetated county on Morrison Street, lies a watering hole for the most experienced members of the community: the Senior Center. When imagining a watering hole, visions of various safari animals gathered around a hole filled with cerulean waters most likely come to mind. Although McMinnville certainly does not boast actual safari animals, it does boast a place seniors from all backgrounds can go to socialize, dine, exercise and take computer classes. The Senior Center’s grand opening took place in 1969 on a building on the corner of Center and Walker streets.
