Manchester native Jason Petty has presented Hank Williams' tunes for many years in various venues across the country. He will perform Aug. 12-13 at the Cannon County Arts Center.
Actor and performer Jason Petty is bringing his show “Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes Trio” to the Cannon County Arts Center Aug. 12-13 at 7 p.m. He’s traveled Hank Williams’ Lost Highway from Nashville to Broadway, and is now coming to Woodbury.The Manchester native was hand-picked to portray Hank Williams at the Ryman Auditorium in the musical bio “Lost Highway,” and has taken the production on two world tours. Petty has won the Obie Award for best actor in New York City for “Lost Highway” in 2003 and has performed numerous times at the Grand Ole Opry. Petty recreates such Williams’ hits as “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry,” “Your Cheatin’ Heart.”
